Focus: Motion offense spacing, pick play introduction, small-sided attack reads

0:00–0:08 | Ladder Agility Warm-Up with Stick 

  1. Two foot forwards: 2 feet in each square moving forward → sprint out 5 yds.

  2. Ickey Shuffle – 2 feet in, 1 foot out, quick lateral steps → sprint out 5 yds.

  3. Lateral In/Out – 2 feet in, 2 feet out, lateral steps

0:10–0:18 | 2 Cone Throwback Drills (4 min per drill - 2 min per Left & Right Hands ) 3-4 players at station

  • Step Back: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Cuts hard to their right, steps back, turns to the inside → Throws back to Player in line

  • Roll away: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Punches stick to outside and follows stick → Turns and throws back to Player in line

0:18–0:28 | Small-Sided Game – 3v3 Bulldog Drill

Purpose: Force quick reads, spacing adjustments, and off-ball movement.

How to Play:

  • Set 2 small goals 50 feet apart / or 2 sets of 1 goal and play half court.

  • 3v3, set 2 teams on each side to rotate quickly. 1 team starts with ball. Rotate after 2 minutes.

  • No goalies — must score on open net, players must defend.

  • Only 2 players from on each team aloud on ground balls

  • Set picks, cut to goals, communicate

0:28–0:40 | Position-Specific Work

Attack: Wing-to-X-to-Crease Finishes

  • Wing feeds X, X feeds quick stick on crease.

  • Focus on timing cut with feed.

Midfield: Dodging / Shooting /

  • Dodge strong hand, plant, roll opposite.

  • Read if slide comes; shoot or feed accordingly.

Midfield Fogo:

Defense: Approach Jam Recover Drill

  • Sprint to ball carrier, body jam, then recover to middle.

Goalie: Step-to-Ball Saves + Quick Clears

  • Emphasize stepping with lead foot, immediate outlet to sideline.

0:40–0:50 | Teach Motion Offense Spacing

Setup:

  • 2 attack low, 1 at X, 2 mids up top, 1 float.

  • Emphasize: always 2 pass options for ball carrier.

Key Concepts:

  • Pass and cut through.

  • Fill open space.

  • Keep middle clear for dodges/feeds.

2-3-1 OFFENSE

0:50–1:00 | Mini-Play 3 – Wing Pick to X Feed

  • Wing attack sets pick for X.

  • X drives topside, looks for shot or feed to picker rolling to crease.

  • Walk-through → half speed → live.

1:00–1:10 | Transition Drill – 5v4 Fast Break

  • Ball starts with goalie → outlet to point middie.

  • Read defense, attack weak side.

1:25–1:45 | 10V10 Scrimmage

Work on & look for:

  • feeds from X, dumps, picks, motion and filling on offense

  • slides, recovers and clears on defense

1:50–2:00 | RST Conditioning – 8 × 30-yard Sprints

  • Sprint 30 yds all-out.

  • Walk back (~20 sec) recovery.

  • Repeat 8 times.

  • Why: Builds repeat sprint ability, directly transferable to lacrosse bursts.

  • Review: Spacing, timing on picks, attacking from multiple angles.

Focus: Man-down defense, crease pick play, high-rep decision making

0:00–0:08 | Cone Agility Box Drill

  1. Square Drill: 4 Cone 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → Sprint to the cone 2 → Shuffle to the cone 3 → Backpedal to the cone 4 → Shuffle to cone 1.

  2. X Drill: 4 Cone 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → crossover to cone 3 → shuffle to cone 2 → back reverse crossover to cone 4 → Shuffle to cone 1.

  3. L Drill: 3 Cones 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → Sprint to cone 2 → Sprint back to cone 1 → Sprint around cone 2 → Loop around cone 3 → Sprint back around cone 2 and back to cone 1

  • Split Back: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Punches stick to outside and follows stick → Switches stick to opposite hand and runs back to cone 1 while throwing to Player in line

  • Split Roll: Player 1 split doges running to cone 1  → Punches stick to outside and follows stick

0:18–0:28 | Small-Sided Game – 3v3 “Quick Strike”

2 sets of games going on at once. Setup:

  • 20x20 yd box, one mini goal at each game.

  • 3v3. Player starts with ball must make a dodge within 3 seconds, after 1 dodge attempt, he may pass.

  • If he beats his man → shoot. If help comes → kick it to Offense Player 2 or 3

  • If contained → pull out & move it.

  • Defense must slide if first defender is beat off dodge.

Purpose:

  • Develop quick reads.

  • Force defenders to communicate slides instantly.

0:30–0:45 | Position-Specific Work

Attack: Crease Pick to Wing Feed

  • Crease attack sets pick for wing cutter.

  • Wing curls for shot or feed to X.

Midfield: Split Dodge to Bounce Shot

  • Sell high-to-low change of direction.

  • Shoot low-to-high or bounce.

Midfield Fogos:

Defense: 2v1 Crease Slide Drill

  • Defend crease in man-down look.

  • First slide comes from crease, recover quickly.

Goalie: Man-Down Communication & Saves

  • Loud calls on every pass (“Left,” “Right,” “Hold”).

0:45–1:00 | 2-3-1 Triangle Offense

  • Basic positions and movement patterns

2-3-1 OFFENSE

0:50–1:00 | Mini-Play 4 – Crease Pick to Skip Pass

  • Crease picks for wing, ball swings through X to skip opposite.

  • Look for step-down shot from skip.

1:00–1:10 | Transition Drill – 4v3 Continuous

  • After each shot, new ball fed in immediately.

  • Forces quick reset and conditioning.
