Focus: Introducing and mastering two-man game concepts, defending picks, and pressuring clears.
0:00–0:08 | Ladder Agility Warm-Up (no Stick)
Two foot forwards: 2 feet in each square moving forward → sprint out 5 yds.
Ickey Shuffle – 2 feet in, 1 foot out, quick lateral steps → sprint out 5 yds.
Lateral In/Out – 2 feet in, 2 feet out, lateral steps
0:08–0:16 | 2 Cone Throwback Drills (4 min per drill - 2 min per Left & Right Hands ) 3-4 players at station
Step Back: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Cuts hard to their right, steps back, turns to the inside → Throws back to Player in line
Roll away: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Punches stick to outside and follows stick → Turns and throws back to Player in line
0:18–0:28 | Small-Sided Competitive – 3v3 “Pick to Score”
Must set 1 on-ball pick before shooting.
Off-ball players read defender’s reaction — slip if defender hedges too hard, pop if defender goes under.
Defense must communicate switch or fight through.
0:28–0:38 | Position-Specific (Live)
Attack: Pick at GLE for inside roll or feed crease; work slips if defender jumps early.
Midfield: Midfield picks above the 2-point arc; read switch vs. fight-through.
Defense: Hedge to stop dodge without overcommitting; fight over top of pick with stick in lane.
Goalie: Read dodge + pick setup; communicate “left/right” early.
0:38–0:48 | Offense Install – “Wing Pick Pop” Play
Wing dodger receives pick from X attackman.
If defense switches: feed slip to crease.
If defense fights over: pop to picker for shot.
Run both sides; add backside cutter for secondary option.
0:48–0:58 | Defense Drill – Switch, Fight, Recover
3 lines O, 3 lines D.
O sets pick anywhere in designated zone; D works switch OR fight over.
Coach calls “switch” or “stay” before rep — forces communication and adaptability.
0:58–1:08 | Ride Pressure Drill – 6-Man Ride vs. Clear
Offense clearing team starts in defensive end with ball.
Riding team applies full pressure: Attack lock Mids, Mids cut passing lanes, D pinch to midline.
Goal: Force turnover in under 10 seconds or trap ball on sideline.
1:08–1:18 | Small-Sided Game – “2-Man Chaos”
Play 4v4 in half field; must start each possession with a 2-man game (pick/roll, pick/pop, or slip).
Keep score; 1 point per goal, 2 points for assist from pick action.
1:18–1:25 | RST Conditioning – 8 × 30-Yard Sprints
100% effort; walk back recovery; aim for consistent sprint times.
1:25–1:30 | Wrap & Huddle
Review: Communication on picks, reading defender’s body position, applying full-field ride pressure.

Focus: Using 2-man game actions in transition and against a zone defense; reinforcing riding/clearing under pressure.
0:00–0:08 | Cone Agility Box Drill
Square Drill: 4 Cone 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → Sprint to the cone 2 → Shuffle to the cone 3 → Backpedal to the cone 4 → Shuffle to cone 1.
X Drill: 4 Cone 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → crossover to cone 3 → shuffle to cone 2 → back reverse crossover to cone 4 → Shuffle to cone 1.
L Drill: 3 Cones 5 yards apart. Starting at cone 1 → Sprint to cone 2 → Sprint back to cone 1 → Sprint around cone 2 → Loop around cone 3 → Sprint back around cone 2 and back to cone 1
0:08–0:16 | 2 Cone Throwback Drills (4 min per drill - 2 min per Left & Right Hands ) 3-4 players at station
Split Back: Player 1 runs to cone 1 → Punches stick to outside and follows stick → Switches stick to opposite hand and runs back to cone 1 while throwing to Player in line
Split Roll: Player 1 split doges running to cone 1 → Punches stick to outside and follows stick
0:18–0:28 | Small-Sided Competitive – 4v3 Continuous
Set up in “Y” fast-break shape (point, two wings, one behind).
Play out fast break; defense tries to force extra pass before shot.
Rotate players quickly; ball back to coach starts next group.
0:28–0:38 | Position-Specific (Live)
Attack: Trail 2-man action — follow middie down alley for backside feed.
Midfield: Create pick in transition to open passing lane.
Defense: Communicate “ball/roll/2” quickly; recover to middle after slide.
Goalie: Lead clears with passes to streaking wings.
0:38–0:48 | Offense Install – “2-Man into Fast Break”
Start with 2-man action on top or wing, immediately push ball if dodger wins.
Middies fill lanes; attackmen seal defenders on backside.
Add trailer option for late shot.
0:48–0:58 | Defense Drill – Zone Bump & Fill
3-3 zone set.
Offense moves ball around perimeter, using 2-man picks to stress zones.
Defenders bump responsibilities quickly, communicate slides from crease.
0:58–1:08 | Ride/Clear Game – 10 Seconds to Half
Clearing team has 10 seconds to cross midline.
Riding team starts in set positions; forces quick decision-making.
Switch O/D after 4 reps.
1:08–1:18 | Small-Sided Game – “Zone Breaker”
Play 5v5 in zone D.
Offense must use at least one pick action to enter middle before shooting.
1 point per goal, 1 bonus point for goal off pick feed.
1:18–1:25 | RST Conditioning – 8 × 30-Yard Sprints
100% effort; walk back recovery; times should be consistent across reps.
1:25–1:30 | Wrap & Huddle
